Current Openings

Marketing and Development Internship
SJEDS is currently looking for an intern to work under the direction of our Director of Development and Marketing. While this is not a paid position, we are happy to offer the role for college credit and great experience. Our office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekly internship hours are flexible.

Responsibilities and tasks may include: Ongoing marketing efforts, annual report articles, social media upkeep, website updates, special event planning, annual fund campaign assistance, media relations, office/administrative duties as needed.  The ideal candidate possesses a great work ethic and a positive attitude. Preferred skills and experience include: Previous internship experience and coursework in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, English, etc.  Interested and qualified candidates should forward cover letter and resume to Mandy Intravaia, Director of Development and Marketing.

Substitute Teaching Opportunities
SJEDS continually seeks substitute teachers to work with children ages three years through sixth grade. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to work flexible assignments between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and a love of teaching. Qualified applicants should have a Professional Teaching Certificate and/or have experience teaching elementary education. Extended Day Care Opportunities
SJEDS continually seeks qualified candidates for our extended day program. The ideal candidate possesses a love of teaching, patience and the ability to work flexible assignments with different age groups between the hours of 2 – 6 p.m. All extended day candidates should forward cover letter and resume with references to Amy Blumstein, Director of Afterschool Activities and Athletics.
