It’s time to give your checkbook a rest!!
How would you like to forget about buying tickets to school events? What if you weren’t asked to write a check every month for this or that? Would you like to spend less money and still participate in all of the fun events at SJEDS? What if you could pay a nominal fee that covers all of the fun community-builders, like Fall Festival, Father + Daughter dance and the Mother + Son event, for the entire year? And instead of writing checks, turning in forms and trying to meet deadlines, just RSVP and show up? I know, as a parent, it would make my life much easier!
Well, I am excited to announce that we have made a huge change. This year we will incorporate a new simplified approach to fundraising with the focus on our annual fund and one fundraising event, our annual gala. To accomplish this, we have streamlined our events and worked closely with the Parents’ Association to remove the fundraising and ticketing aspects from all community-building events, and are introducing an optional, all-inclusive $100 P.A. Activity Fee (per family) to cover the cost of these events. This allows us to reduce the number of times we ask you for money and ultimately, you will spend less out of pocket throughout the year.
During this initial year, this one-time fee is optional, and will be added to your SmartTuition account in September if you opt in. Alternately, you may choose to pay “a la carte” for the individual events.
