🎓 Congratulations, Emi!

Though Emi joined SJEDS in 6th grade, she quickly became an important part of the community, especially through her love of volleyball! 🏐

Her advice to rising 6th graders is to be ready for weekly quizzes because staying prepared makes everything easier. Emi also finds strength in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who said, "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward."

🎓 Way to go, Harper!

Harper’s time at SJEDS began in Pre-K3, and one of her favorite memories was creating candygrams and taping the candy onto the cards! 🍬

Harper’s advice for rising 6th graders is to always try your best and listen to your teachers. She also believes in the importance of staying true to yourself, a lesson she takes from one of her favorite quotes by Oscar Wilde: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."

Since her first days in kindergarten, Meredith has found joy in giving back, especially through service projects like filling Christmas stockings and helping Dreams Come True.

She encourages rising 6th graders to read as much as they can because the right book can change everything, and Ms. Sheppard always knows just what to recommend! 📚

Meredith’s love of curiosity and discovery is captured in her favorite quote from Michael Buckley, "You could never quite grasp that in order to solve a mystery there must be a mystery to solve."

🎓 Cheers to Vi!

Since starting at SJEDS in Pre-K3, Vi has built a treasure trove of memories, but nothing tops the adventure of learning orienteering at Kanuga!

Her advice for rising 6th graders is to stay on top of homework because it is not just 10% of your grade, it is the foundation for test success. And when things do not go exactly as planned, Vi keeps a positive spirit, remembering the words of Bob Ross, "There are no mistakes, only happy accidents." 🎨

Our Fourth Grade Pop Bottle Projects brought big-headed brilliance to campus! Students transformed bottles into famous figures from the “Who Was” and “Who Is” series and shared their biographies with peers, parents, staff, and students.

History came to life with giant heads, fun facts, and plenty of personality!
