At San Jose Episcopal Day School, learning continues long after the final bell. Our Afterschool Activities program provides students with opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and discover their passions beyond the classroom. Through Drama, teacher-led activities, and trusted community partnerships, students can participate in enriching experiences across Sports & Recreation, Performing Arts, STEM & Innovation, and more. Each program is designed to inspire confidence, creativity, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning in a fun, supportive environment.

Drama

Through the SJEDS Drama Program, students build confidence, creativity, and performance skills through acting, singing, movement, and collaboration. Under the new direction of Brandon Becker, SJEDS' third grade teacher, professional performer, and veteran theatre educator with more than 20 years of experience, students learn from an accomplished director, choreographer, and educator while preparing for a full-scale musical production. Recent productions have included Finding Nemo Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Lion King Jr., and Oliver Jr.

Students in the Drama Program will:

Basketball with Coach Buckholtz

Develop basketball fundamentals through engaging skills training, drills, and game play led by Coach Buckholtz, one of SJEDS' basketball coaches and a former collegiate player at Alabama State University. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to improve, each session provides a fun and encouraging environment to build confidence and grow as a player.

Campus Dance Academy (CDA)

Discover the joy of dance through engaging classes that inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Students explore a variety of dance styles in a fun, supportive environment while developing technique, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.

• Offers a variety of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, cheer, acro, musical theatre, and more
