Two of our fifth grade students, Isabella and Lily Two of our fifth grade students, Isabella and Lily, wrote poems last year in fourth grade under Mrs. Kaiser’s guidance. Isabella wrote “Dogs Have Love” and Lily wrote “I Love All Cats!” Both poems have been officially registered in The America Library of Poetry 2025 Student Poetry Contest, recognizing their talent among young writers nationwide. We are so proud of their creativity and this incredible achievement!
Mission Monday: San Jose Cares! 🌟 Meet Daniel Mission Monday: San Jose Cares! 🌟 Meet Daniel and Shaun, growing up in a family devoted to faith, service, and global outreach. Through SALM67 Ministries, their parents train pastors and church leaders in Vietnam and bring God’s love to communities around the world. Their story reminds us of the power of faith, family, and action!
Sixth Grade Spotlight ✨ For our sixth graders, Sixth Grade Spotlight ✨ For our sixth graders, lockers mark the start of their capstone year. Decorating them is a beloved tradition, bursting with personality and school spirit. From fairy lights to bold themes, each locker is a statement. A Special Note: At our annual Gala this April, fifth grade parents could bid for first pick, giving their rising sixth grader an exciting head start to their final year at San Jose.

Meet Your Teacher Day was a blast! 💥 Students Meet Your Teacher Day was a blast! 💥 Students reunited with friends, met new classmates, and explored their classrooms in anticipation of the year ahead!
Preplanning Week has been filled with fellowship a Preplanning Week has been filled with fellowship and growth as our teachers and staff prepare for the year ahead. From setting up classrooms to engaging in training sessions, there’s been plenty happening on campus. Thank you to Paula Blackwell for leading a focused session with our literacy team and to @groundsofgracejax for keeping everyone going with sweet drinks and donuts!
Ms. Katie Mullaney, one of our kindergarten teache Ms. Katie Mullaney, one of our kindergarten teachers, spent part of her summer at the Get Your Teach On National Conference in Dallas. She dove into high-energy workshops, heard from experienced keynote speakers, and connected with educators nationwide to bring bold, research-backed strategies into her classroom!
This summer, Mr. Becker led multiple creative camp This summer, Mr. Becker led multiple creative camps at SJEDS where students directed their own short films, brought characters to life through comics, took the stage in original scenes, and went head-to-head in a high-stakes game of Monopoly. Each session offered a new outlet for imagination and gave students the chance to experiment, collaborate, and bring bold ideas to life.
