With heartfelt gratitude, we proudly dedicate this With heartfelt gratitude, we proudly dedicate this year’s Cloisters yearbook to Ms. Judy Bryan. For 38 years she has inspired generations of SJEDS students through the transformative power of art, from clay nativity scenes to colorful student creations that fill the halls and homes of our community. A beloved teacher, colleague, and grandmother, Ms. Bryan’s legacy is painted in vibrant strokes across our campus.

Whether guiding students in Summer Art Camp, hosting cherished faculty gatherings, or serving as a Chalice Bearer, she exemplifies creativity, faith, and devotion. Thank you, Ms. Bryan, for making SJEDS a more beautiful place.
🎓 Way to go, Daniel! Daniel’s journey at SJE 🎓 Way to go, Daniel!

Daniel’s journey at SJEDS began in Pre-K4, and one of his favorite memories is from the Kanuga trip, where he enjoyed an unforgettable canoeing adventure with friends. He especially loves the Washington, D.C. trip because flying on a plane and seeing the monuments from high above was an incredible experience!

A quote that inspires him comes from the book "North! or Be Eaten" by Andrew Peterson: "When a king forgets who he is, he looks for himself in the rubble of conquered cities."
Our sixth grade students had a blast learning how Our sixth grade students had a blast learning how to make ice cream in a bag, all thanks to Mrs. McCarthy’s elective class, Science in Our Everyday World. The hands-on activity was a fun and tasty way to explore the science behind freezing points, chemical reactions, and everyday ingredients. Learning has never been so delicious! 🍦
Surprise! 🎉 Miss Mullaney, one of our amazing K Surprise! 🎉 Miss Mullaney, one of our amazing Kindergarten teachers, was treated to a special bridal shower planned by homeroom moms Mrs. Youngers and Mrs. Shively. As part of the celebration, the parents recorded the kids sharing their best advice on marriage and how we can love each other. The day was filled with bright smiles, big cheers, and lots of love for their soon to be married teacher!

Isla’s journey at SJEDS began in Pre-K4, and one of her favorite memories was working on the candygram service project. She enjoyed baking treats and helping raise money for those in need!

Isla’s advice for rising 6th graders is to always stay on top of your homework and study regularly so you don’t fall behind. Isla’s approach to life is inspired by a quote from Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky: "The ability to embrace uncertainty leads to ultimate freedom." 🏊
🎓 Way to go, Samantha! Samantha’s journey at 🎓 Way to go, Samantha!

Samantha’s journey at SJEDS began in Pre-K3, and she cherishes the countless laughs and fun moments shared with her class!

Her advice for rising 6th graders is to manage your time well because it helps you accomplish more and enjoy the journey. This outlook is reflected in a quote her parents always remind her of: "Everything happens for a reason."
